The Real Scoop on John's Knee
Oddly enough, John's got a lot of swelling in his knee after his surgery for a torn miniscus yesterday, but he doesn't actually seem to be in much pain. In fact, I don't think he's taken any pain medicine yet, other than what he got in the IV at the hospital yesterday. I'm having a hard time keeping him sitting down with an ice pack on his knee ... he keeps wanting to pack more orders!
It’s good to hear that he isn’t feeling much pain, even though the swelling sounds uncomfortable, Recovering while trying to stay active is always a challenge, especially for someone who hates sitting still,, Moments like this remind me how important it is to slow down and let the body heal, even when responsibilities pile up.. As a student juggling deadlines and sometimes wondering whether to pay someone to do my assignment during stressful weeks, I can relate to that urge to keep pushing instead of resting. Hopefully the ice pack and some rest will help him recover smoothly.
